This Pennsylvania DOT practice exam comprises 20 questions from the official 2022 PA Driver Handbook. The Pennsylvania learner’s permit is the first step to a full driver’s license. You must pass a written knowledge exam, a vision test, and pay a $35.50 cost to get a permit. A junior learner’s permit is issued to those aged 16 to 18. The 2022 driver’s handbook will be used to create the 18 multiple-choice questions. You must properly answer 15 out of 18 questions, so prepare by taking our free DMV practice exam. What do I have to do to obtain my Pennsylvania Learner’s Permit?

Can I drive with my Learner’s Permit?
In order to pass your Road Test, you must, of course, practice supervised driving. Those under the age of 18 who want to take the Road Test must undergo at least 65 hours of behind-the-wheel training, which includes at least 10 hours at night and five hours in adverse weather conditions.
Any restrictions while driving with my Learner’s Permit?
Only a licensed driver over the age of 21 or a parent or guardian sitting in the passenger seat next to you is permitted to accompany you on the road.
There is a limit on how many passengers under the age of 18 may be in a vehicle at any given time.
I completed the 65 hours of behind-the-wheel skill-building. Can I take the Road Test?
The answer is yes, provided that you have had your Learner's Permit for at least six months.

Any restrictions while driving with my Junior Driver’s License?
Driving alone is only permitted between the hours of 5 a.m. and 11 p.m., or if accompanied by someone who is at least 21 years old or a parent or legal guardian.
