Let’s get ready for your Tennessee DMV Permit Test

This Tennessee DMV practice exam has been updated for 2022 and includes 40 questions from the official 2022 TN Driver Handbook. This practice exam will help you prepare for the 30-question knowledge component of the Tennessee driving test. A score of 80 percent requires 24 accurate answers. You may take the test at any of Tennessee’s Driver License Service Centers. The test has four parts: 25% is about intoxicating drugs, 25% is about traffic signs and signals, 25% is about Tennessee’s regulations of the road, and 25% is about safe driving. If you are under 18 and pass the eyesight screening, you may get your learner’s permit after completing the DMV exam. That’s 12 months. Tennessee has a GDL statute. A learner’s permit at 15, an intermediate restricted license at 16, or a year following your intermediate restricted license, and a full driver’s license at 18.
