At night, you should NOT use high-beam headlights

Explanation

Use your high beams on unfamiliar roads, in construction areas, or where there may be people alongside the roadway. High beams let you see twice as far as low beams. However, dim your headlights when you are meeting or following another vehicle. Also use low beams in fog, rain, or snow. The light from high beams can reflect off such precipitation and cause glare.
