Let’s get ready for your Mississippi DPS Permit Test

This Mississippi DPS practice exam has been updated for 2022 and includes 40 questions from the official 2022 MS Driver Handbook. To get your Mississippi learner’s permit or driver’s license, you must pass a 30-question written knowledge exam. The knowledge exam is based on the 2022 Mississippi Driver’s Manual and you must answer at least 24 questions correctly to pass. Your birth certificate, social security card, evidence of school attendance, notarized signatures of your parents or guardians and, if you are under 15, a driving education form is required to apply for a learner’s permit (DE-7). If you are 15 or 16, you do not need to present the DE-7, but you must have your permit for six months before taking your road skills exam. For 17-year-olds, the road skills exam follows the written knowledge test.
