At an intersection, if you see a pedestrian using a guide dog or carrying a white cane, you must
- stop your vehicle.
- switch on your headlights to alert the pedestrian.
- reduce your speed and pass slowly.
A pedestrian using a guide dog or carrying a white cane is blind or visually impaired. You must not use your horn because it could confuse or frighten the blind pedestrian or the guide dog. You must stop and yield the right-of-way to the pedestrian.
