Let’s get ready for your Alabama DMV Permit Test

This DMV practice test was recently updated in 2022. It includes 40 of the most important traffic signs and rules questions taken directly from the official AL Driver Handbook for 2022. You’ll have 30 questions to answer on the Alabama DMV permit test, and you’ll need to answer 24 of them correctly to pass with an 80% score, so study well! Bring the $5 fee to your license appointment if you plan to take the knowledge test (written or computerized) to receive your Alabama learner’s license or driver’s license. Anyone over the age of 15 can obtain a learner license under Alabama’s Graduated License Law. According to the Alabama Driver Manual, this form of the license will assist you in learning to “safely and successfully operate a motor vehicle.” You must pass the Alabama DMV written test in order to get it. Who needs an Alabama driver license?
Every Alabama resident who operates any motor vehicle must have a driver license. Exceptions:
Any person working for the US Federal Government while driving a motor vehicle owned or leased by the US Federal Government.
