This updated Rhode Island DMV practice exam for 2022 includes 40 questions from the official 2022 RI Driver Handbook. Prior to receiving your learner’s permit or driver’s license, you must pass a 25-question knowledge exam. To pass the knowledge exam, you must properly answer 80% of the questions. The exam will include subjects including driving emergencies, driving abilities, road signs, and driving legislation. A learner’s permit costs $11.50 for those under 18. The charge is $6.50 for adults. A full license costs $38.50 and a temporary license costs $23.50 for those under 18. You may pay by cash, check, money order, or credit or debit card, however the credit card fee is $1.50. Each of the 40 questions on this Rhode Island DMV practice exam has the same passing percentage (80%).
